Write An Advent Devotional!

By Pastor Jim Perry in East Cobb United Methodist Church 9 months ago | 1032 views Link: https://goo.gl/oJJMeQ

We are seeking of Servants of Christ, especially leaders and staff, who are willing to write at least one Advent Devotional to be shared with the entire Church family during Advent 2017. Message me your name, and I will return a scripture assignment for one of the days of Advent. Please compete your work and return to me by October 20 to allow ample time to format and set up the devotionals for the entire Advent season. Since we are treating November 26 as the first Sunday in Advent, we will have few extra days, allowing more of you to participate. If you share a devotional which is not your original work, please provide the source for proper attribution. We are looking forward to this exciting season and to this opportunity to share and minister to one another!

Everyone is just putting out fall decorations, so why even think of Advent, right? Actually, NOW is the time we are preparing for Advent  and Christmas, and we need your help!  Write an Advent devotional. Let me know you are willing to do so, and I will assign one of the Lectionary texts for this Advent season. We plan to publish on the website and to prepare printed copies for distribution. This is a major Advent project designed to enrich the lives of the East Cobb UMC family as well as those in the community around us. I need 29 devotionals, so let me hear from you today!

Linda Bonstein

I will write one.
