Discovering YOUR Spiritual Gifts

SIGN UP THIS WEEK!

Back to School and Church means we all kick the learning process into high gear. As we learn this month who we are; who God is; insights into living in Grace; and putting all that to the test, knowing our Spiritual Gifts becomes a critical part of a successful learning process.

Everyone received a List and Brief Description of Spiritual Gifts in your “Notebooks” on Sunday. Some of those may seem strange to you. Or you may think you are very familiar with your Spiritual Gifts. Please remember two things" (1) Everyone has Spiritual Gifts, and (2) Your strengths may not be what you think they are!

At the end of the current sermon series, you will have the opportunity to take a Spiritual Gifts Inventory – a short test that is confidential if you want it to be – to determine your top three (3) Spiritual Gifts. Then, in September, we will begin discussing what a Community of Faith looks like when it truly uses its Spiritual Gifts.

We are inviting you to sign up for one of two (2) Small Group opportunities to dig deeper into your understanding of your Spiritual Gifts. Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts, a four (4) week  study, will be offered in Room 103 on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and Sundays at 5:00 PM beginning September 5 and September 10 respectively. PLEASE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE SO WE CAN HAVE SUFFICIENT STUDY MATERIALS AVAILABLE. We will have a sign-up sheet in the Narthex again this week for your convenience, or you may email me at jim@eastcobbumc.org to sign up.
